Tea Bowls

I truly connected with ceramics while studying the Japanese tea ceremony. My teacher was a potter and one of the things he really focused on was the notion of impermanence. The right objects in the right context can create a safe space for that impermanence to be held and appreciated. I might have written that because it sounds fancy, but it’s also true.

Tea bowls are quite possibly my favorite thing to make.
